Petrol, also known as mogas, is primarily used in private vehicles, rickshaws, and motorcycles. Rising fuel costs impact the budgets of middle- and lower-income groups, who depend heavily on petrol for transportation. High-speed diesel, used extensively in heavy goods vehicles, buses, trains, and agricultural machinery, plays a crucial role in the transport sector. Its price is often seen as a key driver of inflation, affecting the cost of goods like vegetables and other food items.
