LAHORE – Peshawar Zalmi on Friday raised serious reservations regarding the scheduling of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9.
The sources said that Peshawar Zalmi voiced its concerns, emphasizing that the fundamental premise of hosting PSL 9 matches in Peshawar was not duly considered.
The franchise lamented that neither were they actively involved in the scheduling process nor were they consulted prior to the schedule’s release.
Expressing disappointment, the Zalmi administration said that the team had been allocated only four matches in Rawalpindi and a solitary match in Karachi, which fell short of their expectations.
Further elaborating on the matter, the administration revealed that prior to the schedule’s announcement, Peshawar Zalmi had formally requested to host five matches near Peshawar at the Rawalpindi venue.
Besides it, considering the substantial fan support in Karachi, the franchise had advocated for three matches to be scheduled in the city.
