The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Tuesday approved four development schemes of Secondary Healthcare & Medical Education and Physical Planning & Housing Sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 6,249.465 million while six schemes of Roads Sector with an estimated cost of Rs. 35,451.21 million have been recommended to Federal for inclusion in upcoming Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
Chairman Planning & Development Board Abdullah Khan Sumbal presided over the 71st meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2021-22 which gave approval of the said schemes.
The approved development schemes included Upgradation of Thalassemia Unit & Bone Marrow Transplant Centre at B.V. Hospital, Bahawalpur (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 1,755.597 million, New Dhar Jawa Water Supply Scheme with New Tourist Spot, Imp. of Dhirkot Spring Water Supply Scheme for Kotli Sattian & Augmentation of Water Supply / Drainage / Sewerage System at Kahuta, Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs. 3,588.706 million, Comprehensive Water Supply Scheme Kamalia City (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 455.162 million, Extension / Rehabilitation of Urban Sewerage Scheme Gojra (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 450.000 million while Dualization of Road from P.D. Khan, Choa Saidan Shah to Chakwal i/c Choa City Internal Portion Length = 59.75 Km, District Chakwal at the cost of Rs. 10,568.793 million, Construction of Dual Carriageway from Old GT Road Gujrat to Lakhanwal Length=29 Kms District Gujrat at the cost of Rs. 8,849.615 million, Construction / Widening of Road from Hafizabad to Alipur Chattah i/c Links, Length=25.10 kms (section-I District Hafizabad Km No. 0.00 to 14.10, Length=14.10 km) & (section-II District Gujranwala Km No. 14.10 to 25.10, Length=11 km) at the cost of Rs. 3,034.001 million, Improvement / Re-Construction of road from Hafizabad to Khangah Dogran (M-2 Interchange) i/c City Link District Hafizabad Length=28.10 km at the cost of Rs. 1,903.243 million, Dualization of road from Chiniot to Pindi Bhattian Interchange i/c Pindi Bhattian Bypass Length=40.26 kms (Section-I District Chiniot (km-00.0 to km=21.75, Length=21.75 km) & (Section-II District Hafizabad (Km 21.75 to Km 40.26 Length=18.51 km) at the cost of Rs. 7,950.735 million and Widening / Improvement of Road from Mathial Chowk to Pindi Gheb City, Tehsil & Jand & Pindi Gheb District Attock at the cost of Rs. 3,144.823 million have been cleared and recommended to federal for its inclusion in upcoming Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
Provincial Secretary P&D Mujahid Sherdil, all Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries of concerned departments, and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
