Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday fired a broadside at the PDM leadership “for what she called” hampering the development process.
“Political hypocrites have to eat a humble pie after the unsuccessful agitational drive. It is a fact that the opposition has faced defeat at every occasion while the bleak future of the PDM is known to everybody.” – Dr Firdous
She said that the trio of Maulana, prince and the princess is perplexed because people have alienated themselves from the negative politics of the gang of thieves. The people have buried the nefarious designs of political deceivers and no corrupt can evade the accountability process in the presence of PM Imran Khan. The PDM should avoid holding gatherings as people are dying due to corona while the cabal is spreading corona for its negative politics, concluded the SACM.
Meanwhile, SACM Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has been set up to build a new city for residents of Lahore and overseas Pakistanis. The new city is being developed with all the modern facilities and Prime Minister Imran Khan himself is monitoring the progress on this project on daily basis.
These views were expressed by the Special Assistant to CM while addressing a press conference flanked by Chairman RUDA Rashid Aziz and Vice-Chairman LDA S.M. Imran at 90-SQA on Monday.
Talking to media, Dr Firdous said that the River Ravi Development Project is not a mere project but a complete city comprising of one lac 20 thousand acres of land. She said the project will be completed in a period of thirty years adding that the project will create numerous job opportunities. She said the Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is carrying forward the vision of PM “Do Nahi Eik Pakistan” and the government is striving hard to resolve the problems of overpopulation, water and air pollution etc.
The SACM deplored that the plan of the project was envisaged seven years ago but the past rulers could not start it because the projects aimed to bringing real changes in public lives were not their priorities.
Dr Firdous said that Sharif brothers’ pomp and show caused billions of rupees loss to the national exchequer. She said instead of going after basic necessities of life such as health, education, water and electricity, Shehbaz and his brother were busy in showy projects.
Responding to a question, the SACM said that Broadsheet has exposed money laundering of corrupt elements adding that the sigh and sobs of opposition are linked to the broadsheet. She asked Mariyam and Bilawal to carefully read the broadsheet which is in fact a charge sheet against the Sharif family and corrupt elements.
The SACM said that PM Imran Khan has constituted an inter-ministerial committee which will dig out in detail all the relevant facts regarding money laundering and corruption from 2000 to 2020. She said that PML-N and PPP benefited from every deal or NRO. There is no difference between both parties as both looted the country, she added.
