PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah said on Wednesday that permission for the scheduled PDM public meeting on December 13 is not necessary, pledging that the power show will be held at all costs.
He also rejected “what he called” the government propaganda, saying that this is the first stage of the movement against the government, which will be followed by the second and then decisive stages.
The PML-N Punjab president said that there was absolutely no need for permission from the government for the December 13 meeting.
“The PDM will go ahead with its scheduled public meetings in Peshawar on November 22 and in Lahore on December 13. We will take care of Corona SOPs in our meetings and the government should not use it as a plea to suppress political opponents”, he declared.
Referring to the spread of Coronavirus, Rana Sanaullah said: “We reject government propaganda and will continue to implement our program.”
He alleged that the flames of revenge of the ruling clique is not cooling down, and the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment and FIA are being used to make fake cases after NAB.
The PML-N stalwart claimed that the government uses such tactics which is not a new thing, saying they are not afraid of such tactics.
On the other hand, Rana Sanaullah along with Uzma Bukhari and Samiullah Khan spoke to the media outside the CCPO office.
“We have convinced the bureaucrats that their loyalty should be with the state of Pakistan”, they claimed referring to the meeting with the city police chief. They said that the incumbent Prime Minister has lost his mental balance. “He (PM) mutters in his dreams at night that he will not let anyone go. He does not stop making false cases and torturing political opponents in jail”, they alleged.
“It is the worst political revenge for Shehbaz Sharif to roam the streets of Lahore in an armored vehicle despite severe pain. Imran Khan’s wish is in place but it is the responsibility of the CCPO to bring Shehbaz to court from jail and then take him back.”
Rana Sanaullah said that he had warned the CCPO that this would no longer be tolerated. “Harassment of opponents has been in vogue since time of Jesus Christ, but it is not possible today”, he said, adding that they told the CCPO that they should not support the blind revenge of any ruler.
They said they told the CCPO to stay within your constitutional and legal limits and do not be a part of persecuting Shahbaz Sharif. “If the CCPO does not listen to us, his office may be cordoned off and a sit-in will staged there”, they threatened.
