LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had been exploring the possibility of hosting the PSL 10 playoffs and final in another country.

England emerged as the top contender for hosting the PSL 10 playoffs and final match.

However, the reports emerged that England declined the opportunity while citing a lack of available venues.

The franchise owners, worried about potential costs, were informed that an official would be dispatched to England to evaluate the feasibility.

However, England has since declined the opportunity, citing a lack of available venues.

As a result, some PCB officials are now proposing the UAE as a potential alternative. Despite this, the extreme heat expected in May presents a significant challenge for scheduling matches there.

Besides it, the franchises had previously contacted the PCB regarding profit shares from the ninth season and other matters, but there has been no response yet.

A senior PCB official recently assured franchise owners that a governing council meeting will be convened soon to address these issues.

PSL 10 is due to run from April 10 to May 25, overlapping with the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The clash raised concerns that key international players might prefer participating in the IPL over the PSL.
