Pakistan American Law Enforcement Society (PALS) delegation visited the Central Police Office
The delegation was briefed about modern initiatives, transformation of Punjab Police, community policing projects, ongoing operations against the terrorism.

Delegation of American police officers from the Pakistan American Law Enforcement Society (PALS) visited the Central Police Office, the 24-member delegation included officers of Pakistani origin officers serving in various wings of the New York Police Department. Additional IG Establishment Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry met Pakistani American police officers. The American delegation was briefed about the working, infrastructure, specialized forces and Operational procedures of the Punjab Police. The delegation was briefed about modern initiatives, transformation of Punjab Police, community policing projects, ongoing operations against the terrorism. Additional IG establishment Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry said while talking to the American delegation that Punjab Police is one of the largest police forces in the world, combating terrorism, extremism and multifaceted challenges. Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry said that many Pakistani police officers have acquired expertise in modern policing skills from American institutions, In police forces around the world, there is a warm relationship of trust and respect between the officers. Additional IG Establishment Punjab said that there is a wide scope for promoting mutual cooperation between Pakistan and American police in various fields including modern training, crime control etc.
Rohail Ahmad Khalid, President of Pakistan American Law Enforcement Society said that the number of officers of Pakistani origin in the US police force is more than 600, and the number is increasing every year, which is very gratifying. Rohail Ahmad Khalid said that previous March has been celebrated as Pakistan Culture Month in the American police with the efforts of Pakistan American Law Enforcement Society. The American delegation formally invited Punjab Police officers to participate in the Pakistan Heritage Month in Newyork. At the end of the meeting Additional IG Establishment Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry presented the traditional shield to the head of the delegation. President, PALS Rohail Ahmad Khalid presented souvenirs and badges from the PALS Society to the Additional IG Establishment. During the meeting, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, AIG Operations Dr. Asad Ijaz Malhi, AIG Welfare Amara Shirazi, ASP Model Town Rizwana Malik and ASP Chung Kamil Mushtaq also expressed their views about the working and challenges of Punjab Police.
