ONCE again, Israel and Hamas are locked in a new cycle of escalation and violence after a surprise attack on Saturday. The Israel-Palestine dispute is a century-long conflict in the eastern Mediterranean region, marked by religious and territorial tensions. Israel has called for a ‘Complete Siege’ on the Gaza Strip. The timeline of clashes between Palestinian militants and Israeli forces has persisted for many decades. The recent dramatic chain of events has led to the establishment of a new Jewish State in Palestine.”
Tragically, the ongoing confrontation between both countries has brought damage to the civilian population. Israel has illegally blocked essential resources for the Palestinians, disrupting the supply of water, gas, and electricity, as well as impeding everyday activities and access to food and other basic necessities required for human life. These resources are considered the lifeline for all living beings, and their importance is outlined in the UNO charter, which every society in the world is obligated to adhere to. This confrontation has resulted in substantial damage to civil infrastructure, leading to a significant number of Palestinian casualties and injuries. Israel even targeted health facilities and refugee camps in Jabalia.
In May 2021, a gory drama was played by the Israeli armed forces attack on Masjid Al-Aqsa killing hundreds of helpless people who were deeply absorbed in praying. The attack was totally based on religious prejudice and rivalry not to modify the map. A US-based newspaper once published an article by a Jewish writer which reads, “We are of the belief that Muslims are a rapidly growing raw grass in our lawn which needs to be trimmed very rapidly otherwise, it will surround and hide our whole home”. The US support of all kinds to Israel is evidence of Muslim phobia and faith animosity. The UNO International Declaration is clear in its Charter that it will be totally above all the discriminations of colour, caste and even political thoughts and faith.
The Declaration extensively addresses human rights, yet when it comes to the human rights of Muslims, many superpowers non-Muslim members do not seem to commit themselves to it. It is evident that the US, the major member of the UNO Declaration, has been a major violator of the Declaration while inflicting unbelievable atrocities and beastly behaviour on Muslims prisoners in Guatemala prison. The Holy Qur’an had been torn or thrown in the toilets before the eyes of the Muslims prisoners. Once in a press conference, President Bush of the United States, had said, “Our all endeavours are to safeguard the human rights of poor and illiterate Muslims all over the globe”. Our new ‘World Order” will introduce an orderly living to all the Muslims but to our bad luck we have risked a long legacy of hatred across the Muslims community but we will carry on our mission for their betterment.
The massacres of Muslims and the consecutive violations of their rights is a “Pondering Point” for the whole of the Muslim community. Sad enough that keeping a chivalrous history of defence we all the Muslims overlooked all the examples of Divine Support. In the dawn of Islam a few Muslims with Divine support could kill a large number of infidels in the oddest of circumstances.
We, as Muslims, have strayed from the righteous path and abandoned the Islamic code of education and upbringing. In doing so, we have overlooked the principles of pluralism, tolerance and activism that are integral components of Islam. We have adopted only the rituals of Islam and did not struggle to adopt self-discovery and self-actualization. If Muslims all over the world unite, no non-Muslim entity would dare to inflict the kind of high-handedness that persists in Palestine, Kashmir and Afghanistan. An SOS notice for this unity of Muslims is needed.
