Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan decrease 38% in July

Pakistan’s exports of goods and services to Afghanistan witnessed a decrease of 38.57 percent during the first month of current financial year (2021-22) as compared to the corresponding period of last year, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported.

The overall exports to Afghanistan were recorded at $38.557 million during July (2021-22) against exports of $62.774 million during July (2020-21), showing a decline of 38.57 percent, SBP data revealed.

Overall Pakistan’s exports to all countries also witnessed an increase of 19.73 percent in first month, from $1.885 billion to $2.257 billion, the SBP data said.

On the other hand, the imports from Afghanistan during the period under review were recorded at $ 12.405 million against $ 4.216 million last year, showing an increase of 194.32 percent in July (2021-22).—APP
