ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Tehran to attend the inauguration of Iran’s President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian.
The deputy premier was received by Director General (West Asia) of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Seyed Rasoul Musavi and Ambassador of Pakistan to Iran Muhammad Mudassir Tipu.
Dar’s visit shows commitment by two countries to strengthen leadership-level engagement and bilateral ties.
Delegates from 80 nations are set to attend inauguration of Iran President. Pezeshkian, who started his term after being endorsed by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, succeeds the late President Ebrahim Raisi.
