Pakistani Americans celebrated defense day of Pakistan in Brooklyn New York with national fervor and enthusiasm ,a large number of men, women and children gathered and participated the function. Pakistani American association of New York organized the program. Counsel General of Pakistan Aisha Ali was the chief guest while Brokleen police chief Terence A. Monahan also participated and cut the cake with Pakistani children .
Children in special dresses performed over national songs and raised slogans Pakistan zindabad and Allah o Akber that made all the participants emotionally charged.
Counsel General Aisha Ali termed the event as an expression of love for the country.She remembered those who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Pakistan and expressed solidarity with the Kashmiris struggling against Indian tyranny for their just cause of self determination. Counsel general reiterated Pakistan’s demand that the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the United Nations resolutions.
Pakistan Tehreek Insaf president Jani Bashir, secretary general Saim Khan ,chairman Pakistani American association of New York Ch Aslam Dhillon, president Kareem Watto, Shazia Watto,Pervaiz Siddiqui, Lieutenant Ziagham Abbas Rao Shukat and Bashir Gill paid rich tribute to the martyrs and pledged to make Pakistan stronger and prosper.This event concluded with the prayers for the martyrs and well being of the nation.
