KARACHI – Pakistan Women’s Cricket team Captain Fatima Sana’s father passed away on Thursday.
Fatima Sana, who was in Dubai to lead Pakistan Women’s Team for ICC T20 World Cup 2024, took available flight to reach Karachi soon after hearing about passing away of her father.
The demise of Sana’s father deeply saddened the entire team.
All players and management of the women’s cricket team expressed their heartfelt condolences and sorrow over the loss of Fatima Sana’s father. They conveyed their support and sympathy to her, stating that they stand with her during her difficult times.
The Pakistan Women’s Team is preparing to take the field against Australia tomorrow, and their last group stage match will be held against New Zealand on October 14 at the Dubai Stadium.
Fatima Sana’s absence will create a major void in the team, which could certainly impact tomorrow’s match.
