Leader of House in Senate, Senator Dr. Shahzad Waseem has said that Pakistan and Russia hold key importance for development and property of the region.
He said that Pakistan gives special importance to bilateral cooperation with Russia on Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as it will improve coordination in CPEC Eurasian and will be helpful in promoting trade and economic activities. This was stated by him while talking to Russian Ambassador H. E. Mr. Danila V. Ganich who called on him in the Parliament House on Thursday.
Issues of bilateral interest came under discussion during the meeting. Senator Dr. Shahzad Waseem said that Pakistan highly esteems its multi-dimensional ties with Russia and strategic partnership between the two countries would be helpful in peace and of development the region.
He said that changing regional situation demands perpetual investment. Russia has key importance in our foreign policy, he added. The Leader of House in Senate said that a progress has been witnessed in political, diplomatic and economic cooperation between the two countries.
