IPOH (Malaysia) – Three-time champions Pakistan will take on Japan in the 30th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup final to be played on Saturday (May 11).
Both the sides have secured 10 points each after registering three wins and a draw. Green Shirts defeated Canada, hosts Malaysia and South Korea. Japan beat Malaysia, South Korea and New Zealand. Match between Pakistan and Japan ended in a draw.
In their last encounters on Wednesday, Pakistan beat Canada 5-4 while Japan defeated Malaysia 2-1. Pakistan will face New Zealand in their last league match scheduled for Friday. On the same day, Japan will take on Canda in their last league encounter.
Malaysia and New Zealand have secured third and fourth place respectively after bagging six points each. South Korea are placed fifth with three points while Canada are on the bottom after losing all matches.
