Chairman & CEO of Pakistan Observer Mr Faisal Zahid Malik on Tuesday visited the Embassy of the Russian Federation and condemned the terrorist attack on Moscow’s concert hall last week (March 22) resulting in loss of over one hundred lives including children, women and elderly people.
Head of the Political Wing, Embassy of Russia Mr Sviatoslav Podoplelov received the Chairman of Pakistan Observer upon his arrival and briefed him about the heinous terrorist act of March 22 in the outskirt of Moscow and the measures being taken by the Russian security forces to prevent such attacks in future and steps to bring the culprits to justice.
The attack on Crocus City Hall on the western outskirts of Moscow killed a total of 133 people and injured more than 200. Mr Sviatoslav Podoplelov thanked the Chairman & CEO of Pakistan Observer for expressing solidarity with the people and the government of Russia.
A number of arrests have been made in this regard however, the investigation is underway as Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his televised address a day earlier there are certain questions that need to be answered before reaching a conclusion.
“We stand in solidarity with the people and the government of Russia in their moment of grief,” said Mr Faisal Zahid Malik adding Pakistan’s government, right from the top leadership of Prime Minister to the spokesperson of Foreign Office, has condemned the attack in the strongest words reiterating that Pakistan stands by Russia in this moment of grief, he said.
Mr Faisal Zahid Malik also signed the Visitors Book and expressed his heartfelt condolences for the families of the victims and prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the attack.
