Pakistan has deadliest day of Corona with 46 deaths

Pakistan confirmed 46 more deaths from novel coronavirus in one day on Wednesday as the nationwide tally of fatalities jumped to 1,009 and positive cases surged to 47,259.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center, 1,932 persons were tested positive for Covid-19 in 24 hours. Sindh remained the worst-hit province by the pandemic followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Till now 16,685 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 18,964 in Sindh, 6,815 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,968 in Balochistan, 1,138 in Islamabad, 556 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 133 in Azad Kashmir.
Meanwhile, former Balochistan governor and member of the provincial assembly, Syed Fazal Agha passed away due to coronavirus in Karachi.
Agha, who also served as deputy chairman of Senate, had remained associated with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F and Pakistan Muslim League-N during his long political career.
