Pak vs Ban Test series:  Najmul Hossain Shanto dismissed as third day Test start

RAWALPINDI – Bangladesh has lost its second wicket at a score of 53 runs on the third day of the first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh on Friday (today).

As the game started, Najmul Hossain Shanto was taken by Khurram Shehzad. He had scored 16.

Earlier, Zakir Hasan was out for 12 runs, caught behind by Mohammad Rizwan off the bowling of Naseem Shah.

At the end of the second day’s play, Bangladesh had scored 27 runs in response to Pakistan’s first-innings total of 448 runs.

On the second day at Pindi Stadium, Pakistan advanced its innings to 158 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakil both scored centuries, with Rizwan remaining unbeaten on 171 and Shakil contributing 141 runs.

Additional contributions came from Saim Ayub, who scored 56 runs, while Abdullah Shafique managed 2 runs, captain Shan Masood 6 runs, Babar Azam was dismissed for a duck, and Salman Ali Agha scored 19 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi remained unbeaten with 29 runs.

Pakistan declared its innings at 448 runs for the loss of 6 wickets after 141 overs.

For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam and Hasan Mahmud each took 2 wickets.

By the end of the second day, Bangladesh had scored 27 runs without losing any wickets in response to Pakistan’s total.

On the opening day, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl.

They quickly made use of the new ball, and dismissed Pakistan’s first three batsmen early.

Despite this, Saim Ayub and Saud Shakil’s half-centuries stabilized Pakistan’s position.

Pakistan lost 4 wickets on the first day. Abdullah Shafique was out for 2 runs, Shan Masood was dismissed for 6 runs, Babar Azam was out for a duck and Saim Ayub was dismissed for 56 runs.
