Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz visited Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Bahawalpur here Sunday. He was accompanied by Senior Advisor Ejaz Qureshi whereas representatives of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, Multan Electric Power Company, Benazir Income Support Programme and national Savings were present at the occasion.
Regional Head Federal Ombudsman Bahawalpur briefed the Federal Ombudsman about the performance of the office. He told that 1888 complaints were received against MEPCO, 1512 regarding BISP, 468 about SNGPL, 161 related to Pakistan Post, 51 about Pakistan Baitul Maal, 44 against State Life Insurance, 38 regarding NADRA, 38 about ZTBL, 32 related to National bank of Pakistan, 32 against national Highway Authority and 19 complaints were about Postal Insurance.
Prompt action was taken on these complaints and problems of complainants were resolved. He further told that under ‘Justice at Your Doorstep’ Programme, some 428 complaints were received from Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan which were resolved instantly. Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz appreciated the performance of Bahawalpur Region.
