Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi on Monday laid down the foundation-stone of a 100-bed international hospital to be constructed by a Turkish firm Saglik Koprusu Medikal Turkiye at an estimated cost of PKR 5 billion. The land for the hospital is donated by the National Police Foundation (NPF) in its Housing Scheme Sector O-9. While speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony, Mohsin Naqvi said it would be a state-of-the-art modern health facility exclusively for the police jawans, their families and above all for the families of the martyrs of police.

The hospital will have all the facilities of clinical and surgical treatment/operations, etc and its doctors will be highly qualified to be recruited in a competitive process. All the projects of the NPC are being undertaken with a view to ensuring welfare and support of the families of the police martyrs.

The government of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will never desert the families of the police martyrs and provide them with all the support and assistance, he assured. For the NPF, too, said the minister, the project will prove a game changer. He expressed his pleasure that the NPF and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) are jointly working on a number of projects for the uplift of the police force and welfare of their families. In Hyderabad Sindh, too, the NPF has completed a project, said Mohsin Naqvi making it clear that the entire cost of the project will be borne by the Turkish firm Saglik Koprusu Medikal Türkiye.
