Villagers of Taj Mohammad Soomro village foiled a robbery attempt and nabbed notorious bandits near Thatta late on Monday and handed them over to Thatta Police.
The bandits were identified as Kamran Malha and Ghulzar Malah. According to villagers, three dacoits intercepted two villagers to rob them of cash and other valuables when they rose to the bait and caught two of the three dacoits while the third dacoit managed to flee from there.
The area SHO told local reporters that they had recovered a motorbike and weapons from the possession of bandits adding that Kamran Malha is from Nosheroferoz however the other Gulzar Malha belongs to Sujawal.
He further said that they were members of a gang of dacoits that was involved in different incidents of robbery.
Two dacoits of the same gang were injured in a clash that broke out between them and local villagers a few days ago but fortunately, they escaped from there.
These two would help them trace the gang of these dacoits who had disrupted the peace of both the district SHO said. Meanwhile Dhabeji Police upon getting the information about the presence of five bandits near Salar Village a few kilometers from Dabeji.
Police arrested an injured dacoit after a brief encounter however his four accomplices managed to flee from there. The arrested bandit was identified as Mujeeb alias Sultan who was wanted in different cases of robbery and extortion. An FIR against him and his accomplice had been registered under relevant provisions of Pakistan Penal Code 1860.
