DUBAI – International Cricket Council (ICC) Chief Executive Geoff Allardice on Thursday  confirmed that there are no plans to move the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 from Pakistan at the moment.

Speaking at a media briefing held for the Women’s T20 World Cup, Geoff Allardice expressed satisfaction with the tournament’s venue and said that the ICC regularly visits its member countries including Pakistan to ensure the successful hosting of ICC events.

Geoff Allardice assured that no team has shown hesitation in playing in the tournament, and all teams are committed to playing in Pakistan.

Despite previous challenges, Allardice emphasized that all participating teams are determined to compete in Pakistan.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, also known as the “Mini World Cup,” will feature eight elite teams, including India, Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, based on their performance in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Pakistan is currently the defending champion of the Champions Trophy, as the Pakistan cricket team, under the captaincy of former skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, defeated India in the final to win the 2017 Champions Trophy in England.
