No cotton policy to enhance production

Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA) has said that unfortunately government has failed to bring an concrete policy to enhance production of cotton and the cotton rate has touched the record 11-year high of Rs12,000 per 40 kilogram.

In a joint statement on Friday, PHMA zonal chairman Faisal Mehboob Sheikh and chief coordinator Adil Butt observed that the country is expected to produce 5,600,000 bales this year.
