Punjab Minister for Housing & Urban Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed has said that no change is in the offing in assembly houses. Major and minor matters persisted with allies which were now settling down.
The picture of Nawaz Sharif along with his family members and other fellows at a restaurant going under the garb of treatment was a surprise for the nation.
He expressed these views while talking to media in a balloting ceremony for awarding plots to the affectees of LDA Avenue-I. To adopt such an attitude by a national leader and making false pretexts for treatment did not seem appropriate, he added. PTI government adopted sympathetic attitude with regard to ailment of Nawaz Sharif on humanitarian grounds but now such reports and pictures were coming to surface with continuity that he was going out to restaurants for eating food and enjoying excursion which was highly lamentable.
This attitude adopted by him was neither moral nor legitimate. Mehmood-ur-Rasheed further said that on the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan and under the supervision of Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, medical reports of Nawaz Sharif were being closely monitored. Nawaz Sharif went abroad for treatment and should return within the stipulated period of time, he concluded.
He said that all the hurdles to give possession of 487 plots of LDA Avenue-1’s affectees in block A, B, D and G have been removed. In order to ensure transparency, plots were allotted through computerized balloting which was held with the cooperation of PITB.
He said that many attempts were made to solve the most complicated matter of Avenue-1 which did not prove fruitful. Hundreds of people were worried due to this problem and owners of concerned societies were also circling around the courts.
He said that LDA Vice-Chairman SM Imran solved this issue by taking personal interest and consultation committee, LDA DG and concerned officers deserved congratulation in this regard.
