Netblocks, the global watchdog that monitors cybersecurity and the governance of the Internet, confirmed restrictions on several internet services in Pakistan, coinciding with the ongoing observance of Muharram 10, a day of significant religious processions.
As social media users remained baffled, Meta, said there is no known issues on its status dashboard despite user complaints.
During Muharram 10 processions, mobile services will be partially suspended in various cities across Punjab as per recommendations from the provincial home department.
The new measures are in place during processions and Majalis. Specific districts including Gujranwala, Narowal, Toba Tek Singh, and others are also experiencing restricted mobile signals.
