NLI delegation visits NIMA

A delegation from the Navy League Islamabad (NLI) visited NIMA. The visit was aimed to appraise NLI members with NIMA’s activities to identify potential areas of cooperation. Speaking on the occasion, President NIMA warmly welcomed the NLI delegation and emphasized the importance of joint efforts between NIMA and NLI in research, advocacy, and public awareness. Both sides agreed to collaborate and assist NIMA in writing and publishing of books and articles on key maritime topics, as well as involving subject matter experts in NIMA events such as seminars and conferences. Vice Admiral (Retd) Abdul Aleem HI(M), Vice President of NLI, underscored the need to include blue economy-related subjects in Pakistan’s educational curriculum, commended NIMA’s contributions to the maritime sector, and reaffirmed NLI’s commitment to future collaboration. He also highlighted the importance of establishing a dedicated maritime research fund to support these efforts.
