Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested nine accused involved in electricity theft in different areas of Gujranwala.
According to police, different police stations, on report of Gepco officials, managed to arrest Irfan, Shehzad, Kiswar, Nabeel, Amanat. Munir, Virak, Shahbaz and Mubashar who were allegedly involved in electricity theft by using the method of direct wires in different areas. Police have registered separate cases against them and started investigations.
3 drugs pushers rounded up
Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested three drugs pushers and recovered 5.120 kg chars from their possessions. According to police, PS Sadr, during routine patrolling, intercepted Ifikhar near the village of Dhlam Ghazi and recovered 2.080 kg chars from him.
Same police station managed to arrest Shahid from Ura Chok and recovered 1.620 kg chars from his possession. Meanwhile, PS Niakpura arrested Farman from Aimen-e-bad Road with 1.420 kg chars.
Police have registered separate cases against them and started investigations.
Young boy sodomised
Three accused on Sunday raped a 14-years-old boy and managed to escape from the scene. A case has been registered with Police Station Hajipura that three accused including Zahid, Khuram and Usman planned to rape 14-year-old boy Hamid in Mohallah Fate Garh.
They presented intoxicant beverages to Hamid and after that, they brought him at a flat and raped him. They left him at a flat and managed to flee. Police arrested the accused and registered a case against them on the report of Usman, s uncle Arshad and started investigation.
The government has passed a resolution to punish strictly all those culprits who involved in rape of minors and youngsters but the incidents are taking place across the country. Many cases are not being reported, number of NGO’s working on children rights around the country.
