ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad Traffic Police has launched digital driving license card, which is equipped with twelve modern security features.
Due to these security features, it cannot be forged and tampered. The traffic police have planned that soon this digital driving license will be connected to Excise, NADRA and Safe City; which will help control traffic violations.
Those who already hold a valid driving license can apply for the digital card by paying a certain fee in Islamabad region.

Islamabad Driving License Fee Structure
In May this year, administration in the federal capital has announced a whooping increase in the fees for learner permit, driving licence of various categories and renewal of licences.
A notification issued by the office of the chief commissioner said the new fees for driving licences will come into effect immediately.
The Islamabad administration has jacked up the fee for learner driving permit with six months validity to Rs1,000 from previous Rs349.
The fee for the motorcycle + motor car driving licence (non-professional) has been increased from Rs1,800 to Rs3,000.
The fees for professional licence (LTV and HTV) has been hiked from Rs2,100 to Rs10,000.
The fee for digital driving licence card has been increased to Rs2,000. Following is the complete fee structure of new driving licences in Islamabad:
