The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Wednesday has approved raising the power tariff by Rs1.06 per unit.
The Nepra allowed the increase in electricity rate in terms of monthly fuel adjustment for October and November. Nepra Chairman Tauseef H Farooqui announced the decision while hearing applications of Central Power Purchasing Agency. The raise in power rate approved for October was 30 paisas while it was 76 paisas for November. These will be added to the December electricity bills which will be issued to the consumers in January.
