Director General National Commission Human Development Mirza Nasiruddin Mashhood Ahmed has said that NCHD has extended the Prison Literacy Program to 51 prisons out of 114 prisons across the country, enrolling about 1567 learners including 91 female prisoners.
Director General Mirza Nasiruddin Mashhood Ahmed said that this initiative signifies the commitment of NCHD to empower individuals, promote bright future of prisoners and nation through active education especially this initiative NCHD trained literacy staff.

With the success of zero budget, NCHD has opened 67 prisons at 51 facilities in Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, KP, and GB.
