Pakistan Muslim League-N has speeded up efforts to take the allies into confidence regarding the actions against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, the sources close to the development said on Thursday.

“An important meeting would be held under chair of Nawaz Sharif to discuss the political situation in the country,” said a leader seeking anonymity. The sources said that Nawaz Sharif also summoned the meeting of party leaders to make a strategy to control the PTI.

“The allies will be consulted about the political situation as a result of the Supreme Court verdict on the reserved seats.” However, they said that the PML-N’s meeting would reach out to the allies before holding the party meeting. “President Asif Ali Zardari, PML-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussain and other allies will be consulted,” they added.
