The Pakistan Muslim League-N President and former three-time Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, has decided to become active on the political front, the sources close to the development said on Tuesday.
The sources said that Nawaz Sharif is all set for a renewed phase of the party engagement.
“Nawaz Sharif outlined plans for a nationwide political tour,” said the sources.
Nawaz Sharif’s re-entry into active politics comes at a critical juncture for the party, as it seeks to consolidate its base ahead of anticipated political developments.
The former Prime Minister would kick off his campaign in Balochistan, marking the first step of a larger strategy aimed at strengthening party ranks across Pakistan.
Following his Balochistan visit, the sources said that Nawaz Sharif is expected to head to Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before turning his attention to various districts of Punjab.
His Punjab tour would include a special focus on Southern Punjab, where he would assess the performance of party leaders and evaluate regional political dynamics.
The party insiders revealed that Nawaz Sharif intended to restructure the party’s organization in Balochistan to revitalize its presence in the province
“Loyal and long-serving members of the party are expected to be appointed to key organizational positions during this process,” said the sources.
The sources also said that the similar restructuring efforts would be extended across other provinces including Punjab, to ensure the party’s preparedness for future political challenges.
The consultations regarding party organization at the tehsil level have already been completed under Nawaz Sharif’s directives.
The final organizational structure will be announced after Sharif’s approval. In the next phase, party restructuring will be extended to the union council level across all four provinces.
