Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, has announced the immediate restoration of the long-dormant “Monitoring and Evaluation Cell” for ongoing development projects in Sindh. This decision comes after a decade of inactivity and is being implemented on the special directives of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Minister Shah emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that steps are being taken promptly to fulfill the chairman’s instructions. Modern technology, including artificial intelligence, will be leveraged to enable effective monitoring of development projects across Sindh.
The preparation for this technological integration has already been completed. Beginning May 1st, the Planning and Development Department will initiate surveys in various districts of Sindh, with Minister Nasir Shah personally overseeing the process alongside Chairman Najam Ahmad Shah and relevant institutions. Issuing a stern warning, Minister Nasir Shah emphasized that those failing to meet deadlines will face blacklisting and subsequent inquiry.
He reiterated the commitment to unhindered development in Sindh, emphasizing that no obstacles will be tolerated. Every development scheme and project in the annual development program will undergo strict monitoring to ensure efficient progress.
