On the direction of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah visited various areas of South, East, Central, West and Keamari districts on Sunday, and inspected arrangements for draining out rain water in view of the typhoon.
Inspection. Secretary Local Government Najam Shah, MD Water Board Asadullah Khan, Administrator Karachi Metropolitan Laiq Ahmed, DC South Irshad Ahmed Soder and others accompanied him.
Secretary Local Government Najam Shah, MD Water Board Asadullah Khan briefed the provincial minister about the pre-preparedness to deal with any emergency.
Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah presented three swords, Shereen Jinnah Colony, Maripur, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Nagan Inspected Chowrangi, Gujjar Nala and pumping stations in different areas.
On the occasion, Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that the readiness of all institutions to deal with the typhoon has been reviewed.
Emergency has been declared in the local government department and leave of all employees has been canceled.
He said that orders have been issued to KMC and DMCs to monitor the storm drains and also to clear the choking points. Ensure uninterrupted power supply at pumping stations
