National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) has once again put Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) former education minister Rana Mashhood under its microscope.
On Tuesday NAB launched an investigation against senior PML-N leader in assets beyond sources of income case. Sources said that on receiving the complaint, the NAB headquarters in Islamabad had forwarded the case to the bureau’s Lahore office.
Sources further disclosed that Mashhood’s wife Farhat Mashhood and his three daughters had also been included in the investigation.
It has been learnt that NAB, in order to verify the complaint, has approached different monetary organisations to get record of the assets of PML-N leader as well as his family members.
According to sources, the anti-corruption watchdog has sought details of Mashhood’s agricultural, residential, commercial and industrial properties in Punjab.
Apart from that, they added, the record of the assets purchased or sold by the PML-N leader and his family besides the properties they had inherited and the gifts they had received had also been sought.
