Naatia Mushaira held at Aiwan-e-Quaid Poets express deep bond of love, condemn acts of blasphemy in France

Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is a perennial source of wisdom and guidance for the Mankind and our association with him is something we feel proud of and thank to Allah Almighty for that.
This was the crux of a poetic recital (Mushaira) held at the Aiwan-e-Quaid Fatima Jinnah Park in the Nazriya Pakistan Council’s (NPC) socio- literary forum ‘Nuqta-e-Nazar’ in connection with the Eid-e-Milad celebrations.
Prominent poets of the twin cities participated in the Mushaira and read out their Naatia Kalam in praise of the Prophet Peace Be Upon Him.
The poetic session was presided over by eminent poet, ex-Ambassador, Syed Abrar Hussain while noted poet and renowned religious scholar Peer Atique Ahmed was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Poet and Director of Media, NPC Anjum Khaleeq conducted the proceedings of the event.
Apart from paying glowing tributes to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the poets also expressed their personal journey of love and association with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who they said had transformed their lives in more than one ways.
On the occasion, the poets also expressed strong protest against the recent incident of publication of blasphemous caricatures in France and demanded of the French government to refrain from such disrespectful acts.
The world should take notice of such acts by the French government or anywhere in the world, they demanded.
The forum also emphasized on the international organizations to take appropriate steps to stop and condemn any steps that could create unrest in the Muslim World. They also condemned acts of terrorism and rejected extremists’ narrative of Islam. Those who showered the petals of love and respect to the Holy Prophet by reciting their naatia verses included, Ali Akber Abbas, Wafa Chisti, Dr Kashif Irfan, Saail Nizami, Shaista Maureen, Prof Nasir Mangal, Raza Allah Saadi and Nusrat Yab Khan.
