KARACHI – Pakistan Peoples Party leader Murad Ali Shah took the oath as chief minister of Sindh for third time on Tuesday. The investiture of chief minister took place at the Governor’s House where Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori administered the oath.

His party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh interim chief Minister and other officials also attended the ceremony at Governor House.

Murad Shah has made history as he became chief executive for third time in a row.  He contested against MQM-Pakistan candidate Ali Khurshidi who secured only 36 votes amid a boycott by the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf and Jamat e Islami.

Murad Ali Shah has served twice as Sindh’s chief minister from 2016 to 2018 and then from 2018 to 2023.

This is a developing story, and will be updated shortly…
