MoU signed for promotion of eco-tourism, education in forestry, wildlife

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Army Heritage Foundation, Agriculture University of Dera Ismail Khan and Pelican Tours to engage students in studies related to eco-tourism, conservation of forests wildlife and management of parks, etc.

The signing ceremony was held at the Ayub National Park Rawalpindi on Monday.

General Manager AHF M Saud, Head of the Forestry Department University of Agriculture DI Khan Dr Sarir Ahmad and CEO Pelican Tours, Col (R) Waheed Hamid signed the document on behalf of their respective organizations.

Vice Chancellor Agriculture University DI Khan, Prof Dr Masroor Elahi and Director General AHF Brig (R) Asif Akhtar were also present on the occasion.It was observed that the MOU would benefit the signatories and open new opportunities for the students of the university especially in eco-tourism, forestry, and wildlife and park management.

The event also marked the ongoing efforts of Pelican Tours and Army Heritage Foundation to educate and facilitate eco-tourism and provide affordable tourism facilities and training to students of different universities.
