LAHORE – Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar said that Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif recently dispatched written goals to the ministries for the first time.
Attaullah Tarar said that the PM decided to seek performance reports from the ministries.
“Improving economy is the government’s top priority,” said Attaullah Tarar while talking to the reporters in Lahore on Saturday. He was visiting the family of party worker Attique Chaudhary to offer condolences over his demise.
The minister emphasized the government’s foremost priority of enhancing the economy.
He stated that the government’s primary focus is to enhance the economy.
Highlighting the ongoing importance of economic measures, he mentioned an imminent crucial cabinet meeting in Islamabad on Saturday (today).
He said, “The Prime Minister had recently dispatched written objectives to all ministries, encompassing short-term and long-term goals,”.
It marks the first instance in Pakistan’s history where ministries were tasked with written objectives.
“The goals include tackling unemployment, reducing inflation, and addressing economic challenges,” the Federal Information Minister emphasized.
He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif would also discuss the said objectives during today’s cabinet meeting.
“The regular updates from the ministries would be evaluated,” he added.
