Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Newly Merged Districts Affairs, Industries, Commerce, and Technical Education, Dr Aamer Abdullah has directed concerned authorities to speed up land record settlement and digitization projects in the newly merged districts.
He was presiding over a meeting that was attended by Senior Member Board of Revenue, Ikramullah, and other board members. The meeting was convened to discuss the aims and objectives of the land settlement project and the work done so far in this regard.
The caretaker minister was informed that the project includes settlement and digitization of lands in seven sub-divisions of merged districts while 18 sub-divisions have been added in the new PC I. He was informed that the process of land measurement in the Upper Kuram, Lower Kuram and Landi Kotal sub-divisions has been completed.
Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker minister said that the project would be a permanent solution to most of the disputes arising from land and other factors in the merged districts. He also directed to aware people of the importance of the project to the public and to devise mechanisms to address grievances and obtain feedback.
