Muhammad Hussain Mehnti, the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh, strongly denounced Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people, labeling it as their most severe form of aggression. Mehnti emphasized that the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque hinges upon the sacrifices of over 33,000 Palestinian martyrs. Speaking on behalf of Gaza’s populace, he conveyed his sentiments with clarity and respect during the event.
Highlighting the sacrifices of Palestinian leaders and their descendants, Mehnti portrayed them as a symbol of steadfastness in the struggle for Palestine and Al-Aqsa. Expanding on his remarks, Mehnti underscored the significance of Ramadan for believers, describing it as a divine gift.
He emphasized the transformative power of fasting, charity, Quranic recitation, and prayer during this sacred month. Aslo addressed Zafar Ahmed Khan, Karachi Model Town’s town chairman, Haji Noor Elahi, and Muhammad Akram Sheikh. At various Eid prayer locations and marketplaces, officials collected donations totaling approximately six million rupees for Palestinian Muslims.
Earlier contributions from Mirpurkhas residents to the Al-Khidmat Foundation, a welfare organization linked to Jamaat-e-Islami, amounted to over fifty-five lakh rupees.
The generosity of activists and supporters was evident throughout the gathering. In a solemn gesture, Mohammad Hussain Mehnti led funeral prayers in absentia for all Palestinian martyrs, including victims of recent Israeli airstrikes and the grandchildren of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
