The General Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Sindh, Senator Waqar Mehdi, responded sharply to MQM-P Senator Faisal Subzwari’s criticism of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership. Senator Mehdi rebuked Senator Subzwari’s remarks, asserting that launching verbal attacks against the PPP Chairman does not elevate MQM-P’s political stature. He emphasized that just as every Pakistani is familiar with MQM-P’s violent and tumultuous history, the reality of MQM-P’s acquired seats in the recent elections in Karachi remains an open secret among the city’s populace.

Mehdi highlighted the significant increase in PPP’s popularity in Karachi, as evidenced by the overwhelming victory in the face of opposition from GDA, JUI, PML-N, and the United National Movement. He stated that despite the opposition’s efforts, the people of Sindh delivered a resounding victory for PPP.
