Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Dr. Shireen Mazari demanded the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) to take immediate notice of custodial torture of 74-year-old Senator Azam Swati by agencies who was stripped naked and gave electric shocks on his sensitive parts in similar methods used in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo.

In a statement on Tuesday, Dr. Shireen Mazari urged the CJP that being the upholder of fundamental rights of all citizens, surely the CJP should take immediate notice of the custodial torture inflicted on Azam Swati by Agencies, as per his statement in the court. She said that they stripped him naked and gave electric shocks on sensitive parts, which was shameful.

Mazari stated that this practice by Agencies of stripping naked those in custody was not only a complete violation of all laws and our Constitutional guarantees of human rights but reflected a perverted mindset. “Is this what’s learnt from training in US because similar to Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo methods,” she raised question.

Reacting to ECP decision of postponing LG polls second round in Karachi, she stated that if there was any doubt at all of the bias embedded in present ECP led by a CEC, who is now effectively working for PMLN and the imported government, this should remove that doubt. This duality of approach has no rationality behind it at all, she added.

In response to the US state department statement that Pakistan nuclear assets are secure, she told US President Joe Biden that our entire nuclear command and control has been safe since start.

She said: “No accidents, no inadvertent missile firings and no live nukes going missing”, adding that neither is US and India’s Command and Control with live nukes going missing on B52s, missiles fired accidentally.
