Despite the constitutional obligation, May 14 passed without the elections in Punjab and now the case will be heard in Supreme Court tomorrow (Monday).
The hearing on the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) review petition against the April 4 decision of the Supreme Court ordering elections in Punjab on May 14 will be held on May 15.
A three-member special bench headed by Supreme Court Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial will hear the case.
Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar will be part of the three members’ special bench of the Apex Court of the country.
The Election Commission has filed a review application on the decision of the elections on May 14.
