Funeral was held for Investigation Cell in-charge Ali Raza martyred by target killers in Karachi on Monday.
Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah, cabinet members, DG Rangers, police officers and several renowned figures attended the funeral.
Later, Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah held a meeting with the family of the martyred officers. He assured the family that the killers would be brought to justice.
He said that the police had offered innumerable sacrifices in the war against terror and their sacrifices would not go waste.
According to the police, CTD DSP Ali Raza was a close aide of the martyred SSP Chaudhary Aslam. He was working on several key cases, including banned outfits and Lyari gang-war. The police are trying to trace the killers through CCTV footages and evidence.

The martyred officer had worked extensively against members of banned outfits such as Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), sectarian groups and sub-nationalist groups as well.
DSP Raza used to visit Karimabad as it was his neighbourhood where his friends resided. While he was leaving in his bullet proof vehicle, two suspects on a motorcycle arrived and opened indiscriminate firing before fleeing. Khattab said Raza suffered critical injuries and was transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Police surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed told Dawn.com that the DSP had suffered “multiple gunshot injuries to chest, neck and head.”
A bullet was recovered, however, the complete post-mortem examination was not allowed by his family.
