Malaysian PM departs after completing his Pakistan visit

Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim departs for Malaysia after completing his three-day visit to Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, and Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan Alyani bid farewell to Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his delegation at Nur Khan Air Base.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed that Pakistan and Malaysia share long-standing fraternal relations spanning decades.
Both leaders agreed on strengthening Pakistan-Malaysia ties further. Prime Minister Sharif also noted that the Malaysian Prime Minister is an admirer of Allama Iqbal, which is a source of pride for Pakistan.

The Malaysian Prime Minister’s visit marked the beginning of a new chapter in Pakistan-Malaysia relations. Both nations signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements to promote trade and investment.

Pakistan will enhance exports of processed meat and rice to Malaysia and simplify the procedures. Both countries also agreed to collaborate in information technology and increase cooperation in the production and trade of electric vehicles.

During the visit, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad, where he received a grand welcome. Both leaders also participated in the Pakistan-Malaysia Business Forum.
