A large scale of employees affiliated with Sindh Revenue Employees Association Thatta, held a protest in favor of revenue officers to be given magisterial rights here on Monday.
The protester said that snatching magisterial powers from DCs, ACs and Mukhtiakar was at par to weak the department therefore they said we demand restoration of magisterial powers to Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and other revenue authorities and health cards and other facilities to be provided the employees working in revenue department.
Earlier the protesters staged pen down protest, there fore work process in revenue offices remained suspended. Meanwhile they demanded of authorities to resolve the matter otherwise, they threatened to enlarge the protesting circle.
