RAWALPINDI – Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum Monday handed over command of Karachi Corps to Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed.

Last month, the Prime Minister Office issued a notification, announcing Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum as the new director-general of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
The official notification stated that the premier has “seen and approved” the name of Lt Gen Nadeem as DG ISI.
The name of the new spy chief was finalized after a detailed consultative process held between the prime minister and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The designated DG ISI shall assume charge on 20th November, 2021. Lt Gen Nadeem will replace outgoing Faiz Hameed, who will perform duties as spymaster till November 19.
In early October, ISPR also announced a reshuffle in the army, saying Lt-Gen Mohammad Saeed has been posted as the Karachi corps commander, Lt-Gen Nauman Mehmood has been appointed the president of the National Defence University, and Maj-Gen Asim Malik has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant general as well as appointed the army’s adjutant general.
