Light rain likely in Karachi, coastal areas of Sindh

KARACHI – Partly cloudy weather with light rain/drizzle is likely in Karachi and coastal areas of Sindh on Friday night and Saturday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate upper/central parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, mainly hot and very humid weather is expected in most districts of province on Friday night and Saturday.

However, partly cloudy weather with isolated light rain/drizzle is likely in Karachi and coastal areas of the province during the period.

Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 33-35°C on Saturday and 36-38°C on Sunday.

Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 39-41°C on Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in most districts of the province during the last 24 hours.

Jacobabad remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C. Maximum temperature in Dadu was recorded at 44°C, and Sukkur, Mohenjo-Daro and Nawabshah at 42°C.

In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 82 per cent.

In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 73 per cent.
