The opponents have challenged the victory notifications of the 13 elected members of the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly of Punjab in the Lahore High Court on Thursday. Among these MNAs and MPAs, most of the members belonged to the Pakistan Muslim League-N. The election tribunal comprising Justice Sultan Tanveer Ahmed of the Lahore High Court will hear these cases. Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokhar of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf approached the Election Tribunal against the success of the PML-N leader Federal Minister Ataullah Tarar from National Assembly’s Lahore constituency NA-127. From NA-55 Rawalpindi, MNA Abrar Ahmed’s success was challenged by Mohammad Basharat Raja of the PTI while Burjees Tahir filed an election complaint against the success of independent MNA Muhammad Arshad Sahi from NA-111 Nankana Sahib.
