Aitchison College’s Board of Governors has convinced its disgruntled principal to withdraw his resignation, sources said on Thursday.
The board held a meeting to discuss the issue with Michael A Thomson personally in attendance. Representatives of the government tried to convince the principal to withdraw his resignation, and have expressed the belief that they have succeeded.
A majority of the board’s members have also opposed the policy of fee waivers. However, some members said that granting waivers should be upto the governor who is the president of the board.
